Guidelines |
1. Respect each others physical space. No physical contact in the Peer Recovery Center except with permission. 2. The Peer Recovery Center has a zero tolerance policy for illegal use and dispensing of drugs. 3. In order to have an emotionally safe, trigger-free environment, The Peer Recovery Center requests that individuals refrain from using offensive language. Language used in an aggressive manner will not be tolerated. 4. The Peer Recovery Center is an emotionally safe, trigger-free environment. We request that videos be free of words that might be offensive or triggering. Videos with large amounts of violence, sexual content and loud music will not be allowed! Please clear all PG and R-rated videos before playing. 5. Please refrain from loud noise such as door slamming and shouting. Please keep the TV and radio at a comfortable level. 6. The Peer Recovery Center is a physically and emotionally safe zone. Physically assaultive or threatening behaviors will not be tolerated. It will be treated as a criminal offense. 7. At the Peer Recovery Center, many people share the space. Please do not touch someone else’s belongings without asking the individual first. Stealing at the Peer Recovery Center will not be tolerated. 8. Members of the Peer Recovery Center will hold each other in high, positive regard. We ask members to refrain from all types of bashing including degrading jokes, unjust criticism, mockery, rude comments, and making fun of self and/or others. 9. The Peer Recovery Center is a safe, comfortable environment that does not tolerate discrimination based on mental or physical disabilities, age, sexual orientation, religion, race, nationality, ethnicity, education, physical appearance, or presentation, 10. In order to keep the Peer Recovery Center a trigger-free environment and maintain personal comfort, we request that there be no soliciting of any kind including sales, religion, politics, personal or political beliefs. 11. We at the Peer Recovery Center request that no one wears clothing that is revealing, degrading, or causes offense. Examples are shorts that show the thigh, showing midriff, or the chest not being covered. Clothing that is revealing of private areas may be triggering to some individuals. 12. The art room is used for personal expression and creativity to do art projects for consumers at the Peer Recovery Center as well as to assist individuals with their healing. This room is reserved for structured groups or individuals who do not have their own personal art space at the Peer Recovery Center. |
